Silent Screams

Poem Commentary

None of this or any of my poems are true events. They are just pigments of my twisted imagination that turn up on paper.

Silent Screams

When someone yawns
I think to myself
Are they really tired
Or are they silently screaming

Most would think
They are sleepy
I hang on the thought
That they're crying for help

I
Know
I
Am

When I yawn
I'm silently screaming
I just cover it up
So no one knows I'm in pain

I put on a smile
To cover up the truth
'Cause it's not worth
Dragging my friends into

I try to deal with it
But sometimes it's too much
So my yawns eventually
Turn into cries of anger

Will anybody be able to hear me?
