    Singularity

Acidic smoke burning away walls, bursting the boundaries of sentience
Releasing tendrils of thoughts hovering amongst lips without arrogance
Processes weaving and joining, individuality lost in transcendence
A rag-tag fumbling gaggle of adolescents
Grasping at the cure for this ailment
Looking back for the wisdom of the ancients
We are their stumbling idiotic descendants
Stunted by culture, a product of our environment
Unaware of the degradation we represent
More learned than our peers, our equivalents
    Still choked out with disinfectants
For yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of contaminants
    Staring up at monuments
    Lost in my ignorance
    Moving up in increments
    Despite my late development
    Growing worthy of your investment
    Standing out amongst delinquents
    A group of independents
    Grasping for our independence
    An endless marching of replacements
    Separated only by our experience

hey smoking kills, there are always more fools in line. Joe Camel may have retired but he's still hanging out at the play ground waiting for mom to turn her back to light up another.

i liked it. especially the last couple lines. they really spoke to me and i could relate completely. Growing worthy of investments/standing out amongst delinquents/a group of independence/and endless marching of replacements/separated only by our experience

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
