Smoke

Smoke

Smoke, smoke
Floating up higher
Watch it swiftly float away
Swirling, twirling
Slowly dissipating
Lost in the sky's

Fire, fire
Watch it burn
Red, and blue, or even green
Hotter, hotter
Watch things die
Watch it burn them
Make them cry

I liked how you started off with smoke and ended with fire instead. That's how life can be, some things seem graceful and end up being surprisingly destructive. This made me think of how I like to watch smoke swirl through sunlight that comes through window blinds in a dark room. I've always wanted to paint something like that. Great work! I'm giving you a 7!

Thank you, I know I'm late in response, I've been busy

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
