    So Many Times

So many Times You have looked at me in that loving way

You called my named like I meant something to you

You used to flirt with me as if you wanted me

So many times you’ve asked me out

And just as many times you have broken it off

So many times you touched me in a loving way

You kissed me like no other could

You put on this charm I couldn’t see through

You even said that you cared about me

But later you showed me you didn’t care at all

So many times I said I wouldn’t fall for you again

Yet so many times I did as if against my will

But once and for all after so many times

I swear to never fall for you again

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
