Soldier

At times I pick leaves on the pavement
Sometimes seen, other times unseen
To scoop and place leaves of hope and love
To plant them in my heart, all the way from the bottom pits
of this harsh floors of the labor market
Where others tread carelessly walking,
Trampling with their march on foot, words, snippets of snide
remarks, Careless, thoughtless, and determined for take
To take that job spot. While I am left with these leaves
On the floor . Then My head brings me back to an American soldier
all dressed MacArthur...or just an American soldier
who first saw the land of my forefathers pride and friendships
and validated worth. To help the little brown brothers
and spread joy and freedom. God bless the USA, I am saved and clutch my heart.
