In a place so bleak

A bereft of hope

Such a barren landscape be

For sorrow is all that be felt

For tis, alas, I’ve lost thee.

In truth, twas many things

My eyes art filled with tears

Reminiscing…of what was

And what will never be again

But twas my fault

Twould n’er be

So much more

Twas I resigned
