sounds of saturday night

another order, another clink.
familiar songs,
"another drink?"
chuckles, swearing, toilet door slam.
screams for paper,
heels slipping, bangles jingling,
screams of laughter.
stumbling steps,
drunken appraisals,
screaming orders,
slamming drinks down.
Message tone, typing keys,
message tone.
quick goodbyes.
taxi hail, slamming door.
taxi halt, money changing hands.
slamming door, fumbling keys, slamming door.
you whispers in my ear,
heavy breaths becoming one,
bodies on floor,
zips and buttons
tearing tights
sniggers
slap on skin
nails down back
faster breathing
"faster" words
moans of surprise
moans of pleasures
your suppressed moan
screams of passion
screams of pleasure
filthy words
animal grunts
"wait" wait"
sighs of perfection.
soft slap on skin,
slowing breath.
zips, buttons.
door closing gently.
heels on concrete.
my empty sobs.

i like this, but sometimes being empty is the best defense a mind can have

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
