Poem Commentary

Thank God for every time I decide death is not the way. That I'm still here.

Suicide.

If I had a reason to end my life
one good enough
I'd grasp that knife.
The one with the blade, sharp to the touch.
Place it to my wrist.
Adrenaline rush.
Fear, hate.
Coward! Why wait?
Fuck this life, and take the bait.
Fuck me over like hopeless fate.
And when I give up, when I decide
that death is frightening, I've lost all pride.
I'll try again. Someday, I will.
I'd smile in a daze and watch blood spill.
I'd sigh in pain, and lay dying still.
Better yet, I'll take the pill.

While I detest the thought of suicide this well written piece makes me realize that even with a topic like this there can be great rhythm, rhyme and meter. The pill does sound like a more convenient way to end this life but what if the next one is worse. Very creative.

I love your wordplay, and the dark tone in this song. And I've felt this way. Your already a good writer, you will be great someday!

I like the emotion and the wording of the whole poem, its just a subject that I wouldn't like to spend much time on if you know what i mean. I do see where your coming from though, great visualization.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
