    The Dancing Lover

    though I've never touched him
    and he would never question
    I'm focused on his body
the way it seems to glisten
if i could just let go
    to cross the invisible line
oh, the places i would take him
    the love i can provide
    what am i saying?
    this is absurd
there's much to hear, much to learn
but when he's here its never the same
my defenses fall much to shame
and he inches closer, his body on mine
I'm breathing heavily, a warning sign
    but i can't stop
    and he can't stop
slow but surely we reach the top
and explode into a hundred pieces
    i didn't leave..i had my reasons
so as he left the floor i stayed
for another dancer, for love to be made

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
