    Talk About the 80's!

    Zipped-side-stretch denims in acid wash
Shoulder pads and colors that clash
Off-shoulder shirts and lace skirts that flare
We all had our outrageous share

    Ultra-teased bangs and Mohawks too
Dress up nights and wild hair do
Aqua net and tossed up hair
these all make a memorable pair

    Over-sized shirts and low-slung belts
    Slap bracelets and plastic bangles
    Legwarmers and scrunch socks
And bikes that comes with shocks

Rolled-up sleeves on tight leather pants
    Goes walking around like Egyptians
    A collection of swatch protectors
You’re a proud vinyl record collector

You know Sixteen Candles is NOT a party
But instead a movie you always see
Punky Brewster is such a hero
Richard Gere is an American Gigolo

    You swoon for Remington Steele
Knight Rider and his skidding wheel
Sun glasses at night which we call shades
Top Gun’s Ray Ban and looks that fades

Though the Smurfs are always blue
And Ricky Martin was in Menudo
Smile and remember, life is always fair
If you do the Care Bear stare

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
