Tev's Mum
I hope all mothers are just like mine,
Patient, loving and most of all kind.
I know she’s thought of everything under the sun,
But how can I tell her, it’s nothing she’s done.
It happens this way to some of us kids
And it has nothing to do with what parents did.
I wish I could tell her where autistic kids go,
But until I find my words, she’ll never know.
She worries for me and feels sad inside,
But when she looks at me there's nothing but pride.
She tries to hold me here and not let me leave,
She hugs me so tight I can hardly breathe.
She starres at me when she think I’m not looking
She pretends to be busy and act like she’s cooking.
I know when I visit, I put her love to the test,
She wants me with her, she thinks that is best
How can I tell her, there’s no cause for alarm,
My place is like Heaven, there will be no harm.
