The Bad Place

The Bad Place

Right now the Bad Place

Is where I’m at

Thoughts flying through my head

Just like a bat.

For I have been travelling alone

In this world

Leaving my emotions on the

Ground unfurled.

Having to go through things

All by myself

Makes me put feelings towards

People on a shelf.

Pushing away people that

May actually care

Can I let them in?  And

Do I dare?

Now some of you may think

That I am crazy

But life for me isn’t always

A rose or a daisy.

Thank goodness I don’t

Come here too often

Because being here for too long

Could be a nail in my coffin.

And even though being in

This place makes me cry

The creative juices really

Do fly.

Oh you did anellent job on this poem--- simply fantastic write! thanks for sharing--- Mary

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
