The Crimson Knight

The Crimson Knight

I have become one of the Knights of Death and Chaos,
My soul and my love have been stripped from me,
I burn for revenge because of my fall,
And vengance shall be my single driving force,
I shall seek it with all the fury of a fallen god.

With my sword I shall rend your flesh,
With my axe I shall sever your limbs,
With my mace I shall shatter your bones,
With my spear I shall impale you,
I shall draw power from you suffering.

Upon my shield I shall mount your finger bones,
Around my neck I shall necklace your teeth,
My helmet shall be made of your skull,
My armor shall be made from your ribs,
I shall use all that you are for battle.

I shall drink your blood to quinch my thirst,
I shall eat your flesh to satisfy my hunger,
Your soul shall grant me more power,
Your pain shall entertain my mind and heart,
Your suffering shall be my greatest reward.

Chaos and destruction shall follow in my wake,
Death and suffering shall be driven before me,
All living creatures shall be my enemy,
All living things shall learn to fear my rage,
I have become the Crimson Knight of Death and Destruction.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
