the disguise
as the day turns into night the candles i will light just to see your beautiful face shining bright i look into your eyes and i see the disguise that you are trying to put on that you don't care but i an see the truth as i look deep into your eyes and straight into your soul it gives you a feeling of uneasiness knowing that you can't hide your feelings as our eyes connect you so you turn quickly hoping that i didn't see it but the truth is i was able to see more than you wanted you turn to run but i gently grab your arm and turn you back to me i lift your chin to look into your eyes once again just to show you that you don't need to hide from me once again as our eyes connect i assure you that you can trust me that i would never hurt you in any way and i tell you this not with words but just a look and you understand as you place your hand gently upon my face you draw near and gently press your lips upon mine and for that one instant i know that you do understand and that our love will never die even if our ways part the love we have for each other will always be in our heart.Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
