The Greatest Poem I Ever Wrote

The greatest poem I ever wrote is dedicated to you
I want to express my feelings and create a debut
of the life we have established together as one
allowing the saying 'a fistful of dollars' to remain a pun
because we have struggled and been without a fist full of dollars
trying to stay sane while experiencing problems on top of problems
but in the end we had each other to run to
and it helped us learn what a strong relationship could do
love brought us here and put us through every emotion possible
i will never regret it it made me more knowledgeable
i found out about myself and what I could and couldnt handle
and realized i had to straighten up before our relationship was dismantled
i want to be your strength when your down and weak
i want to be your backbone when you have obstacles to defeat
i want to be the bandage when you need to heal your wounds
i want to be the red that balance out your blues
i want to give you all my love so together we will prosper
and everyone will say to you 'congratulations you found her'

This is so sweet! A test of a true relationship is whether it can overcome the obstacles as well as enjoy the good times. Sounds like you have done both. :) Exvellent poem.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
