The Greatest War

The Greatest War

Wisdom, knowledge, and commen sense.
These things I have at my exspence.
Hope, love patients, and bliss.
These things I really miss.
I'm at war with myself, the fight for a lifetime.
Good and Evil yin-yanged for life, I need a lifeline.
Rage, lust, hatred, and desire.
I feel this because good is almost expired.
The world is corrupt and it's rubbing off on me,
But wisdom tells knowledge, it's not the thing for me.
So I put one foot before the other and go with the flow.
One foot after another and what do ya know?
You don't know nothing if you ain't trying to learn.
You set yourself up for failer, set up to crash and burn.
Like they say, an apple a day keeps the dentis away.
Knowledge persay keeps the Evil at bay.
So I filp-flop back an forth, Good An Evil.
When the end comes I wonder if there'll be a sequel?
It's like I'm watchin my life on a movie screen, past the popcorn!
The suspence is killin me, scream, oh those aren't horns.
It's not a halo ether, I might be a hybrid.
Come one come all, circus freak, 5 dollars to ride it.
I'm talking about the war, the war inside myself.
The war that nobody would understand, but meself.
If you understand, you have a great brain,
Cause misunderstood should be my middle name.
Like they say great minds think alike.
So if you think like this, then they might be right.
Or I might be wrong.
It just might be this battle, this war I feel so strong.
Whatever it may be it is coming to an end.
I hope that I am forgiven an washed of my sin.

I had a hard time with the font size but i was able to read it and it was very thought provoking. I think that you have great rhythm and style and it makes you think. Hugs

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
