    the little red house

the little red house is down the street
filled with people you don't want to meet

look the other way when you pass by
at first it looks so good when it catches your eye

the window are painted black so you can't see in
painted windows can't keep you from feeling the sin

the voices float out of the house and fill the air
it's hypnotic all you can do is stand and stare

you took that first look now you must go in
i warned you not too look this is where it will all begin

empty souls greet you as you walk in the door
they smile, because now they have claimed one more

vacant stares are cast your way
they know that now this is where you will stay

music fills the room along with other's chatter
you find now this is the only way of life that will matter

find a place in the room and make it your own
for this place is your new home

a warning to others as they pass by
don't let the little red house catch your eye

i'm not really sure where this came from tonight. i was at a friend's house and he was playing his guitar. when he played one song the little red house came to mind. so, when i got home i just starting writing about a little red house and this is what i got.

This is a little house I'm not going to look at.LOL! It's cute the way you put it together.I'm working on a haunted plantation house now.Working on stairs. This house is scary.LOL!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
