The Lonely Christian Girl

The Lonely Christian Girl
(C) 1999

Down in the valley of deep remorse,
Stood a lonely Christian Girl.
So battered, so bruised, so torn with grief,
Crying, "Master! Hear my plea."
Then Jesus stretched forth his hands and said,
"Rise up my child, come and die."

Lifting her head and seeing the Saviour's outstretched arms.
She said, "Father, takes me as I am."
He smiled at her and kindly said, "Release your faith
for vistory will be won.  I am willing to take you to you to a better land."

Cuddled in his arms she wept,
"Father protects me from harms and ills.
Let me lift mine eyes to that glorious hill, and within me your Holy Spirit fill.
And remove all those sins' stains and guilt."

Then Jesus smiled and kindly said,

“Rise up my child; Ive removed them long ago.
Even your very foes.

With tears in her eyes, she gladly reply,
I belong to, Im not my own.  Please grant me those wonderful gifts unknown,
To take with me to that golden town.

Rising from her new born state, she whispered,

“I must move on, or else I’ll be late.
On that judgment day I mustn't miss my date
For I must ride through the golden gate."

This is a very spiritual piece. I love the content, and the conviction in which you write. This is a wonderful piece. Keep it up! 10 from me.

It was wonderful for you to make such inspiring comment. Thank you for your encouragement.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
