The man in blue

The man in blue

I walked into a room

One dark and dengue day

To see a little girl

On the floor she lay

One by one

Tears from her eyes feel

As i looked at her mom

laying there still and pale

I wonder what is wrong with this scene

As i turned the body over

Surprised for what I seen

There was a needle stuck in between

Her toes and tracks

From her neck

To her knees

I looked at the little girl

Now with no sound

She told me its OK

I now have found her

She always came

When i cried

But this time

I found her body

In the dark

By my side

But it OK man in the blue suite

For today she's with god

And wont be pursued

By her pimp and the dealers

And the men that laid by her side

For 20 dollars they come

And go all night

But she did love me you see

She told me

She did all this for me

I know she is safe now

By god's side

So you see Mr in the blue suite

Everything will be just fine

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
