The Purpose of Life

Poem Commentary

What is our real purpose in life?

The Purpose of Life

So many wonder just what is
    our purpose in this life
When everything seems so full
of stress and pain and strife.

We can't just look at others for
    the answer, my dear friend
You must look at the Beginning to
    reach the happy end.

God created Adam
    and then created Eve
And brought them to a Garden
that He planted for their needs.

Everything they needed
    within their daily life
Was there for food and comfort...
No stress or pain or strife.

But life would soon be boring,
and this God knew so well
So He gave them both a purpose
before they stumbled and they fell.

Within their hands He placed the Trust;
    a Garden made with Love.
This Earth He gave to all of us,
    Our gift from up above.

He told us to expand it
and tend it with our care.
Then we went and messed it up...
    The Garden was not there.

But we've waited way too long to act,
    the time is running short.
We may wake up one day and find
    it's us the Earth aborts!

This is fantastic and explains life so well. Its a perfect example of how our parents gave us the tools and we learned from our mistakes and we passed that on. You expressed this poem so well, I'm speechless.

Thank you (blush)

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
