THE RESPLENDENT MURK

Poem Commentary

To the extent the source of a truth's information remains understood to be accurate, truth can create a sense of enlightenment and actual understandings of greater contexts in the sense of a bigger picture. I wrote: "What a solemn contradiction to principles And beliefs our actions often take. The causes for such baneful inconsistency Eludes us when clear facts do not Present themselves obligingly." Many facts are not self-evident even when proper context is provided. Sometimes the right thing to do contradicts Moral or ethical edicts that may direct one course of action rather than one choosen; this is the point of following one's conscience I believe.

The resplendent murk of unfocused thought and doubt,

     Transmutes to shame to injure our soul.

          What a solemn contradiction to principles

               And beliefs our actions often take.

               The causes for such baneful inconsistency

           Eludes us when clear facts do not

     Present themselves obligingly.

What a hateful mess our self-made burdens curse us with;

     They amplify that which is not in our control.

          Bitter tears? Yes! Holy unto us only if we endure,

               Persevere, and wait to see the end unfold.

               To our surprise, we may lose or win.

          To complain is pointless; no one cares for your misery

     For the hearers of your words are crushed by their own cares.

Therein is the truest, kindest compassion expressed by thoughtful sacrifice,

     Works of action moved by faith.

          This is the milk of human kindness!

               A declaration to the ignorant and self-wise:

                  "Open your eyes and unstop your ears,

                  Stretch forth your hand and do more to prove your words.

                Pain the master teacher, a force irresistible,

            is often the price of knowledge and

     Comprehension the cost for awareness.

The Sympathetic Interchange is where reason is born.

     There truth creates light,

          It being the mirror of the living will and all it has done,

               It births all purposes, meanings and understandings.

                     Fact by relationship to fact, sires knowledge.

                     Understanding is the father of all comprehension.

               Decisive dispositions emerge as a properties of thought,

          Personality emerges as the summation of all the unique paths

      Of least resistance through a matrix of truth.

Thought is purpose. It is the reason for movement;

     To change the state of death to life.

             The brighter the light, the greater the focus.

                     It is said I am bright.

                     I ask how can I turn up the candle power?
