    The Spirit Of God Hovers

O’er the mountain and in the valley
O’er the calm waters and in their depths
In the gentle breeze that rustles the dry leaves
In the strong wind that bends the trees
Under the sun that scatters its rays on the earth
In the rain that wets everything underneath
Just like the time of creation
    The spirit of God hovers

The cock crows and the motherhen cackles
The birds fill the air with songs
The dogs chase one another about
Goats bleat and call out to their kids
Men send smiles and greetings to one another
    Children run around in glee
Just like the time of creation
    The spirit of God hovers

There was evening and there was morning
The dawning of a new day
    All is beautiful
    All is wonderful
    O’er all his creatures
Just like the time of creation
    The spirit of God hovers
