The Sun.

The Sun.

The Sun.

I wish I were my shadow,

for my shadow doesn't change.

When I am happy, angry, sad or serene,

My shadow never feels the same.

A reflection of who I want to be,

And a mirror of my joyful soul,

A picture of a life worth living,

And the only part of me I pull.

When I am living, walking, standing, sitting, wishing I no longer feel,

The silhouette alone portrays the only part of me that's real.

Although I have a body I'm only physical in spirit and in mind,

my skin and bone last not even a wink before the end of time,

But the two in which we are together,

only one will I befriend.

Until the day my body dispense itself into the ground,

You can find me in my shadow, and in my shadow I'll be found, again.

I give my shadow a name tonight,

And my shadow I'll become,

Because my shadow never has to struggle,

As long as my shadow has The Sun.
