The Things That Make Us Human

The Things That Make Us Human

Hope
Sits upon the scale
Masculine but frail
With justice on the other side

Skin
Lays upon the meat
Feeding the whole fleet
For the battle around the corner

Emotion
Runs within our minds
Confident but so unsure
With another failure just outside the door

Blood
Flows through our veins
Ever slowly, ever quickly
Waiting for the time when it runs out

Love
A capability
An unsure factor
Which destroys us in the end

Hate
A destructive habit
An instinctive teacher
Who will tear our hearts in pain
