The Unshakable Tree

The Unshakable Tree

As I look out my window
I see a field of trees
Some with leaves of golden
Others of dark green
The leaves begin their dance
As the gentle wind blows
Every branch in sync
Waving to and fro
I notice as I look closer
There's one that doesn't belong
Although the wind grows frightening
Still this tree stands strong
I imagine its roots
Hidden deeply beneath the dirt
From the moment it sprouted
It knew what it would be worth
It's funny what God would do
To open up your eyes
And lovingly remind you
You're stronger than you realize...

I enjoyed this piece and the message of purchasing an inner strength by observing a strong tree, different from other's around it... I'm not sure about the tree "not belonging" as you wrote into this; perhaps to make it stand out more.... To me, it's just not like the others around it... Still, a good write this...

Yes God reminds me where my strength comes from everyday! Thanks for your comment!!
