The view is forever from here

The view is forever from here

I sit on my favorite bench, and watch the
sunset.

Contemplate the day, and the events of life
passed.

The inscription on the bench is "the view is
forever from here".

A light breeze dances through my soul, as
does the words.

I get up to leave, and I notice a man we
speak "hello".

"It's a great sunset tonite", I say then
this is the best spot.

He replies "I know, the view is forever from
here".

I used to sit here with my wife, when she
was alive.

He says he don't have many sunsets left,
catch them when I can. I shall, as I close my eyes.
