    The younger me

    I welcome the time
    When you arrive
    You pull the fog
    Down on my eyes
    Yet vividly remind me of
    The simpler times

    So many pleasures
    That I have had
    Of little things

    What time does
    Dreams bring back
    With you as its guide

    I welcome the time
    When you arrive
With moments oh so rear now
The time seems not changed you
You have no valleys on your forehead
    Carved by rives of worries

    You have no iron curtain
    Blocking not protecting
Build by constant strokes to your honor

You have no mountains on your shoulders
    Brought by thousands
Piece by piece rock by rock
    Grain by grain

    You are my hope
    You are my smile
    You are my courage
In that constant dream of mine

    I welcome the time
    When you arrive …

i love it! it's both nostalgic and tender!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
