    These eyes lie

Please don't stare into my eyes
You'll discover the truth within them
And instanly realize all my spoken lies
If I let you stare into them long enough you'll see my soul
Believe me it's not a place in which you wish to go
Behind these eyes and in this soul is more than most will ever know
Don't stare too long for you'll see them flicker inside my eyes
The demons that taunt me from inside
I've tried to lock them away eternally
But it seems they esape and reek havoc occassionally
Please I beg don't stare into my eyes
I don't want you to bear witness to the pain and tears I've so desperately tried to hide
I'll look away before it's too late
For if I don't my entire being you'll soon begin to hate
My past is severe and dreadful which scares most
Do you think you're brave enough to get that close?

This poem to me is absolutly amazing!!!! It speaks volumes to what I feel inside also...You go girl you nailed this one!!! Congrats!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
