    To Hear From You

    Sitting here waiting by the phone,

    I can't help but wonder when

    I'll get the chance, just one more chance

    To hear from you again.

    Listen to words fall from your lips

    As we talk about everyday stuff;

    Not exactly a dream come true,

    But for now it's close enough.

    I wish that you would hold me tight

    And chase away the cold.

    But even to just be close to you

    Is better than any gold.

    So for now I'll sit here by the phone,

    Waiting for your call.

    Hoping to hear your voice once more -

    My most favorite sound of all.
