    Understanding and Be

    If all the world
    were blue and gold
    and red
    a fool's delight
    my heart
    would cry
    delightfully
    and tears would
    light the night

    for err is human
    and stars do shine
    and bows do rule
    the day
    we all run free
    in eternity
    and love
    still reigns
    the heart

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
