TODAY'S THE DAY

The life that we’ve lived thus far was given,

A gift that kept giving and lost its surprise.

Got comfortable in expecting the usual,

Ungratefulness then lead to unexpected demise.

A gift is a token of love, a reward, even something that we should earn,

By being dispersed from Heaven makes it the greatest to receive with relevant lessons that we must learn.

We all have an opportunity to grasp it and to guard it closely,

Do we truly understand the purpose behind this as it’s suppose to be?

We’ve heard how today is a gift, that’s why it’s called the present,

So, imagine if this day alone is a present what we could expect from God’s presence!

Presence – being of a presiding state,

Present – something physical, marking a certain date.

In His presence there’s more than any of us could ever be worth of,

No need for a special occasion; He’ll come down and lavish us, draping us in His undying love.

Overwhelmed by majesty, His faithfulness is genuine—priceless,

He remains the same but His techniques may change, how could we be less than righteous?

Christ fulfilled His destiny for us and even for the next,

What we choose to do with ours produces what we will get.

Don’t let tomorrow be borrowed from the tomb of yesterday,

Let’s praise God Almighty in advance for new gifts from the womb of a new day!
