    Wanting

Sweep me away with the sweet slow sands of time
Strike my mind with a simple verse or rhyme
Take me into a realm unknown where
One's reactions rob the right to be real
Steal my thoughts, thanks and appeal
    Apologetically
I am looking for lengthy answers that were not meant for you or me
    Silently searching for an inner-strength
    Wondering if you are mine...
Yet left standing on my own alone and cold
Thinking to myself, damn I am grown
    Still standing alone and cold
    Wanting to go home.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
