    WAR

    Sand covered ground
    Blood covered fields
    We struggle to stay alive
    Always alert to our surroundings
No time to rest our eyes or minds
    We stand together
    In defense of one another
In a land that is not our own
    The battle grows around us
Some of us will fall to the enemies blow
None of us will ever be the same
The horrors of this day will remain with us always
Our souls stained by our actions
Those who say " War is Hell "
Knew what they were talking about
War will be the end of all who take part

I liked this poem for the most part the description was good and the message was realistic and very well made. Keep up the good work Plot121

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
