We Will Miss You

We Will Miss You

From sunrise to sunset

Your death we will regret

Every time we hear your beat

We stare at your empty seat

You left us way to soon

Wish your flower would rebloom

I sing a funeral song

But you can’t be gone

I wish you weren’t dead

Those words whirl in my head

The one man that I truly loved

Now you follow the Black Dove

We will miss you

We will miss you

When the moon rises

No more loving surprises

In the death garden you flower will grow

This news shot my heart like an arrow from a bow

Never got the chance to meet you

Never got the chance to greet you

Never will I see your sweet smile

Never again will my life be worthwhile

Never again will I see you anew

If only beforehand I knew

You are gone and I am here

But will you be anymore near?

We will miss you

We will miss you

No more Angel voice

We had no choice

You left us so far behind

Something will always remind

Us that we should remember the time

You were alive sweet, loving, and kind

That you we will always miss

The death angel gave you your last kiss

While you were here we were in bliss

About you I want to reminisce

I really wish you were here

I hold your life very dear

We will miss you

We will miss you

I don’t want to live without you

Without you my sky isn’t blue

No, this can’t be true

The Grim Weeper left cradling you

Why did you have to leave

And make this world grieve

I can’t take this anymore

You walked out this world’s door

Like a fish we were lured

With you we were never board

Your death cut the cord

Our sorrow bleeds from our souls’ cord

We will miss you

We will miss you

Our days burn no light

You opened your wings and take fight

You didn’t even fight

You ran into the night

Like a trapped animal I am filled with fright

My beloved is gone from sight

From a new height

You will burn bright

A star that burns in the sky twinkling

Tears fall from my eyes blinking

I will miss you forever and ever

I’ll forget you never

We will miss you

We will miss you

In a loving, warm, and sensitive memory of the true King of Pop. We love you so much Michael and we will miss you so terribly, remembering you religiously

I like your poems. I look forward to reading some when memories hold the cherished and not the pain of events that won't let go. Memories are not to hurt but to help learn and make like worth the price everyone must pay for the experience Thanks

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
