    WHAT I WANT

     A friendly smile,

    A simple hello,

    A light touch,

All these I look forward to

    every morning when I awake

A little help with the door,

A ‘how was your day dear’

    An ‘it will be ok’

Is what I hope for every evening

An ‘I’ll be there for you

    A comforting hug

    And a goodnight kiss

Is all that I yearn for every night

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
