WHAT IF I TOLD YOU...

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU...

What if I told you
That you remind me of
The first day of spring
The day of realised anticipations
Butterflies swirl inside
Hinged on what Summer brings
That your very essence
Carries my soul to the brink of new life
Heart reborn, unscarred
Faith in love renewed, unmarred
Absorbing anew the beauty of life
What if I told you
That your presence ignites
Ability to appreciate natural beauty
Bestowed upon each mortal life
That I long to bathe in awe
Swim carefree in your aura
A place so familiar, so warm
As if visited a thousand times
Only to be drawn again by karma
What if I told you
That the smile of your eyes
Pierces hearts protective armour
Caresses my very core
Rendering eyes to close
So as to capture the moment
For ever in my mind set
What if I told you...
Every time you walk away
I watch until
Your form is no longer insight
So that I miss not one moment
Of you.......
That my heart beats
To the rhythm of the word
Stay...

"Heart felt and positve. Like your name........"

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
