When he comes
I will shout to the heavens and thank the Lord for this gift,
He will teach me patience and love,
I will teach him all the rights to the wrongs in my life.
Never knowing the pain or sorrow of loneliness without me.
He will know joy, laughter, and patience.
But also understanding disappointment, failure, and loss.
Unlike my own, when he reaches I will be there,
He will know who he is in life and to stand proudly for what he believes in.
And when I feel like giving up or it’s just too much,
I will rejuvenate with him in my arms – my strength…
He will teach me patience and love,
I will teach him all the rights to the wrongs in my life.
Never knowing the pain or sorrow of loneliness without me.
He will know joy, laughter, and patience.
But also understanding disappointment, failure, and loss.
Unlike my own, when he reaches I will be there,
He will know who he is in life and to stand proudly for what he believes in.
And when I feel like giving up or it’s just too much,
I will rejuvenate with him in my arms – my strength…
