When the Moon Gets Full

When the Moon Gets Full

When the Moon Gets Full
When the moon gets full, and darkness nears
The howling you hear, brings on morbid fears
She said they'd be coming
She said they'd be back
The long drawn out snarl, of wolves on attack

When the moon gets full, and out of the woods
The wicked ones come, wearing their  hoods
I know they are laughing, an planting their seeds
And spreading around, great ghastly deeds

When the moon gets full, and into your life
Strides the Grim Reaper, swinging his scythe
A lover, a sister
A brother, a mate
He laughs at the anguish
The sorrow
The hate

Do not worry my friends, my friends
I will protect you
'Till darkness ends....

I really enjoyed this, felt the fear! Thanks for sharing this

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
