When Words Don't Come
Sometimes the words just don't want to comeWhen a poem I may want to write
Seems my mind becomes real darkened
Like stepping completely out of the light
I just can't write like some folks do
Come up with something just out of the air
You know they are coming from the heart
My little words don't seem to compare
I don't write to much on fiction
What I write is normally true
If you don't think the shoe fits
Why does it look so good on you
Some may say I'm not very high
On life's popularity pole
But a foundation becomes deep
The higher we go, and yes,
Deeper becomes the hole
