    Whoville Dreams

If you were a Who. What would you do
On the day you learned you could fly?

Would you fly way up high?
Would you touch the blue sky?

Or would you rather take a fall
From the biggest, tallest, highest wall?

    Just to show
    the people way down below
That you were a special, flying kind of fellow!

Well that’s what I did, last night in my dreams.
I became a Who from Whoville! Who knows what that means?

Who cares? I didn’t! I was a happy Who guy!
Carefree and tan with the ability to fly!

I went to the highest hill in Whoville
And looked, down from the top
As the wind, blew through my mop,
I knew that it was safe for me to hop

Off of that hill and down towards Whoville
    Oh! What a thrill!

    To fall through a cloud
With the wind screaming, real loud!
It’s the bestest feeling in the whole wide world!

But bestest of all is when you stop the free-fall
And float like a kite on a string!
    The feeling is simply amazing!

A word of caution to this tale,
    There are those in Whoville
    Who only mean ill
And would rather you couldn’t fly.

For them you must keep a watchful eye
    Or else you may die!
    Way below ground
    Far under town
    Without a sound!

    They tried to get me!
    As I floated near town
    Through a hole in a tree’s canopy.

    They reached and they grabbed
At my feet and my hands
But I was a Who who could fly!
    And wouldn’t be had!

    I turned and I dodged
    Swiveled and parried
    All their attempts
    Left me quite harried

But, I still kept my cool
And the next thing I knew
I was back in the sky
    Flying real high
    With a magnificent view.

Hurray! For Dr. suesse. Sounds like you could have been his right hand man...If only in a dream.
