    Poem Commentary

    struggle

    Why not

DON’T ASK ME WHAT I THINK.

YOU MAY NOT LIKE THE REPLY.

TO SAY IT’S A PERFECT WORLD,

    WOULD ONLY BE A LIE.

    SOME PLACES BETTER, SOMETIMES NOT.

WE HAVE, YOU HAVE, THEY HAVE WHAT?

TO WISH YOU WERE A DIFFERENT SOMEONE,

    OR WANT WHAT SOMEONE’S GOT.

    PRETEND IT DOESN’T MATTER,

    JUST SAY THAT YOU FORGOT.

THE FARTHER THINGS GET OUT OF HAND,

    THE TIGHTER GETS THE KNOT.

WE ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE TO GIVE,

    SO GIVE WHATEVER YOU’VE GOT

BE HAPPY WITH THE LOVE YOU LIVE

    SO MY ANSWER IS----WHY NOT?
