Win

My heart is pounding my pulse is racing,
sweat running down my face slowly evaporating.
10 seconds left, I dont know what to do,
I look at my coach  he looks tense and confused.

The game is in my hands,
its my time to shine.
They're not gonna steal this rock from me,
Nope its mine.

We inbound the ball,
I hear the crowd counting down.
On the Home's side of the gym,
No sound can be found.

I pass the ball ahead,
and cut through the middle.
I put the ball in the hoop,
to put us up by a little.

5 seconds left,
and we have the lead.
If we just play defense,
we'll have a champion's dream.

A silver ring with my teams name,
number of games won and lost.
If we win this game it will be because,
the practices where we gave our all including tears sweat and blood.

The buzzer sounds, the whistle blows,
my teammates go crazy as our trophy is rose.
The crowd rushes onto the court.
Our journey is done we have accomplished our goal,
State Finals here we come.
