    Win or Lose

On the flop, here comes the turn
There’s ace in the pocket, but
You don’t see the bluff cause you aren’t that good

    You’ve called twice
Without a hand, but you don’t know
How this is gonna go down
She’s not in the big blind
Even though your pose is good
Someone’s bound to call your bluff

You throw away the queen of hearts
The queen of diamonds made you play
You aren’t in it to stay; you just like to see’em for free
The stakes are high, but you make your bet

Will you see the river, or do what you do best
Take whatever you can; no matter the cost,
but you didn’t figure all the odds
You can’t go all in when you don’t have the ace
    Remember, it’s in the pocket

    Shut down the table
    Don’t let’em see another card
    Hide the queen of diamonds
    You’re making loose bets,
but sloppy playing will cause em to fold

    But wait…someone went all in…
Pocket aces…with two on the table

    Thank you! :)

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
