    winter

Winter is slowly crawling its way back into our lives.
Summer was shortlived, warm, yet unrealized.
Winter lives up to its full torrential potential.
Summer needs to learn it can be just as powerful.
Summer wanes in the aftermath of Spring.
Winter eclipses what Summers always bring.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
