    YOU CAME TO ME

You came to me in a dream-vision

    Of you

Still so clear on my mind

    Your smile so bright

    Your skin so very touchable.

You came to me one night

    You lifted me up

    And you carried me home

    Your arms so soft

And your lips so very kissable.

    I woke from my dream-vision

    Of you

That was so strong in my mind

    Was gone.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
