Poem Commentary

written during a deep depression
freshman year of college.

you'll never be mine, so I'll give myself to the sky.

i'll rhyme my kiss with the words you never said
make a poem out of the thoughts in your head
edit them together with mine
and delete the couplets 'till a couple's left behind.

Use capital letters to start your lines. Use more commas to break up your sentences.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
