A Beautiful Sight in the Distance

I'm way over my head and I'm falling too hard.

Im trying to hard and Im thinking to much.

So i sit at the beach and look in the distance,

To find myself a beautiful sight that surpasses my own existence.

I look at her, but then I look up to the sky

to ask if theres any fault with my own two eyes.

here she comes with her beautiful sway.

Thinking to myself how dare I look her way.

But she looks back, right into my eyes

as if she has found some sort of prize.

she continues her path right on towards me

and all i can think of asking is,

    why do you choose me?

but for once in my life I let it all go.

I give in to you and just say a simple hello.

our lips come together, so natural to the touch

that we just lose ourselves within each others trust.

Only a moment ago we have just met,

but its been forever since I felt so secure

In a love that has felt so very pure.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
