A Father's Smile

  • I just lost the love of my life, my heart & my soul, my Dad. The strength that I used to hold on to, is gone. But I know, he's living in my heart forever. From the day he went, I realized that all this while, throughout the struggles, pain, sorrow even until the day he passed, I was on my own, standing and breathing. I learn that, even as a woman, we don't really need to count on someone else to survive. Love is pain, and lose it, sucks. But I'm strong. I don't need to lean on anybody to get up

A Father's Smile

The eyes used to see
How the beauty of the scenery
The sky was so blue
The beauty was so true

And the ears used to listen
How the birds's wings waving
The leafs on the trees dancing
Rythiming with the wind

But since last the ears listening
A father's voice no more
His breath trembling
Chill and sorrow surrounding

And since last the eyes saw
A father's smile no more
His figure layed still
His lips feebly unlocked

The heart was beating
But the thought confused
Sceneries turned dark
All beauty no more

Raining there heavily
Raining tears and sorrow
Still standing knees shaking
Still breathing but dying

If time was friendly
Would I exchange those wasted
The time and quality
With his happiness and smile

Would I not waste any seconds
Would I cherish every moment
Would I gather every minutes
To deserve a Father's smile

Longing now badly
Longing now and forever
Trough sorrow and pain
Will I pass it again

Now without his strenght
Will I walk the path
Alone with brave
Even as woman, I'll survive

Im so sorry about your dads passing. Just keep in mind our loved ones watch us from heaven down here. Your dad wouldnt like to see you sad. By remembering n honoring their existence in our life its like always having them close to us.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
