A life less ordinary

A life less ordinary

My mind is racing

Thoughts and ideas scrambled together

Living together

Battling together

 Ever wonder why

We only understand the answers when we forget the questions,

Or why life smiles at you before it scars.

 Life is so short,

Forgetting is so long,

As the poet would say it.

 Some stare at the sun

Others don't, at all.

I choose a life less ordinary,

Less covered

Less contrived

I choose your honesty over my pain.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
