    A Pain In My Soul

    When asked

    Most people

    Wish for the big objects

    Like

    Money,

    Big houses,

    And cars

    But

    In my case

    I

    Just want happiness

    Under the sun

    And smiles

    Under the stars

    I wanted

    A big house

    And

    At the moment

    I still do

    But

    More than ever

    I want

    All

    Of the hatred

    Dismissed

    From my heart

    And my life

    Too

    Dying

    Is a thought

    That enters my mind

    On and off

    Which keeps my heart

    Hard as stone

    Instead of

    Feathery soft

    I wonder

    Which is better

    Being with

    Or

    Being without

    Knowing something

    Or

    Just about

    I

    Cant stand

    Not knowing

    How

    I will end

    Up

    In my future

    Will

    My soul be

    And remain

    Pure?

    I love myself

    And

     I love everyone

    The same

    But

    Love cant

    And

    Wont

    Remove

    My pain

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
